This is how Heaven’s canteen looks like =D

Me and my friend have this serious craving for really fresh chilled cripsy salads and delicious tasty juicy meats topped with melted cheese on top of it, covered with a generous amount of various sauces and then wrapped in a superbly freshly baked soft sandwich bread. We have been to Delifrance and to be honest, we felt like we were eating in India. The texture of the baguette is like granite, needless to describe how it tasted like and the fillings are like they are picked up from the wet morning market floors. One word, miserable.

Anyway to hell with Delifrance, Subway is located in the new wing so if you would kindly make your way to the new wing parking area CP3 and take the only elevator on that floor, hit button LG and upon reaching the floor. Push open the sliding doors and voila! you’ll see heaven, i mean Subway Cafe. So my friend and i were so delighted we grinned ear to ear and walked towards it =D we can even smell the freshly baked breads, i believe it was the smell of oreganos. Nothing complicated about the designs, plain and simple so nothing to brag about. Not a suitable place to wage a water war. You make your order by queuing up at the long bar counter with all the goodies behind a glass. It was mesmerizing. You first choose your your type of sandwich, choose the type of bread and then decide whether you want it to be in the standard 6inches form or 12inches. Ok, so let’s being.

Types of Sandwiches
SUBWAY Melt®: Sliced turkey breast, ham, bacon, melted cheese and standard vegetables.
Steak and Cheese: Hot steak, grilled onions and peppers, melted cheese and standard vegetables.

Types of Bread
There were 3 selections but i believed there were 4 because there’s a gap between the Hearty Italian and Mini Italian but we never did bothered to ask. We took “Parmesan Oregano with SubwayMelt” and “Hearty Italian with Steak and Cheese”. The latter proved to be the better one. Maybe because the Parmesan Oregano has to go with meats but that doesn’t mean the first suck!

6″ or 12″ ?
It is of custom that every customer is served with 6″ because the 6″ is enough to make you go “burrp!!” but then we went a bit far by doubling the size of both sandwiches XD making it 12″ each, well maybe just a bit TOO far. We managed to finished them but almost blew our stomach to smithereens, we exchanged flavors =D. Even the 2 Caucasians whom are relatively way bigger in size compared to the both of us only ordered the 6″. Let’s just say they were amazed so as to do the o_O at us.

We made one of the sandwich into a meal by adding RM3.50 which then comes with a drink and 2 pieces of cookies (we chose Oatmeal Raisins and Chocolate Chips) or you can swap it for Mr. Potatoes -_-!. The cookies were ok. The pricing, should i say reasonable considering the standard of living and the shi–y currency strength of Malaysian ringgit. RM11.90 for SubwayMelt and RM9.80 for Steak & Cheese. You add another RM7.00 to get the 12″ upgrade which we did -.- The total bill ended up RM44.79 for 2 person which is “quite” expensive i might say so next time no more upgrades >=( I cannot understand why we pay an extra RM14.00 to torture our stomach, we couldn’t eat anything for the rest of the day.

How big? Well, my friend had difficulty eating it while keeping the whole thing intact so go figure =D She fed the floor with the onions and maybe some pickles and olives =( I, on the other hand dropped a part of it on my pants -.-! because i was turning it on the table. All those statements made are related to the size =) With that, we have completed our quest in searching for a worthy sandwich to bite on. We are proud of ourselves.
