Pappa Kopitiam (Revisited)
Type : Contemporary Hawker Foods
Location : Bandar Bukit Tinggi 2 (opposite of AEON Bukit Tinggi)
Place : Bandar Bukit Tinggi, Klang
If you guys have been following me all these while, i blogged about this ‘pariah‘ place before but just that it’s in my Friendster’s blog and not this one. This is the most farktup place that i think one can ever encounter in their whole entire freaking lifetime, i don’t want to go back in describing how sucky it was last time because i’m not concerned about what’s before but what’s now and to tell you the truth, it isn’t much of a difference -.- and the name of the shop is really stupid, ‘Pappa Kopitiam‘ WTF! loosy translated into ‘Father’s Coffee Shop‘ Try and imagine this :-
A : Eh, today go where yamcha?
B : Hmm, come let’s go to father’s coffee shop
A : EH, your father got coffee shop meh? Since when?
B : EH your head la! Not my father la ass. It’s the one at the corner.
A : OHHHHH
Stupid right?
This is perhaps the only place that is so sucky that earns a right in my place to have me blogged about it twice because it’s so sucky, i don’t know how to express myself other than to do it twice.
This is the interior design and i must say when i first entered it last time, i was quite impressed about it because it looks modern and reputable and needless to say, from the furniture you’d most probably figured it all out by yourself that the owner wanted to start up an old fashion kopitiam where grandfathers and grandmothers would go and have their morning coffee and the infamous ‘roti bakar‘ but at the same he wanted to attract classier people such as youngsters and corporate people and as a result, a fusion between the West and the East but i think if grandfathers and grandmothers of the past would want to try and live back their memories through here, they would have to sell away the lands that they children brought them to have them buried in when they die.
This is the form of decoration they put up, loafs and loafs of bread on display on shelves but of course they are fake loafs of bread otherwise by now, you would’ve seen green mucors sprouting all over it.
This is the bar counter where they prepare drinks, i supposed. This picture is really farney as you can see, the cashier wears a very weird expression on his face, it’s almost like saying “HEY! You Don’t Make Jokes About Me, Asshole!” and at the back there you can see Mr. Shah Rukh Khan there trying off his dancing moves to attract potential mates behind the counter -___- this is utterly disgracing. I don’t know what to say.
The most important element of an eatery, the PRICE!! and since everything is increasing in price especially FUELS, everyone is looking for cheaper alternatives so that they could save on one thing and move the saved funds to the other but this is one Gawd Damn Forsaken place that doesn’t follow the market trends and forces. After spending almost half and hour browsing through the menu with very limited choices of very expensive food, i finally ordered a Fried Rice with Egg and Kopi-O Ais for drink while my sister ordered a normal Nissin Noodle which is the usual these days in modern kopitiam and a cup of Iced Barley.
This is my fried rice, it is tasteless and the sambal is pure crap. The only that that is edible is the cucumber and the fried egg. How much it costs me? RM5.90 and if you think that is ripping me off, wait till you see this
This is my Kopi O Ais and it costs me RM3.20 WHEEE~~~~ while the hawt one costs RM2.80 when other kopitiam with WAYYYYY better quality than this only charged RM1.80 for the hawt one and an extra 20cents for ice. Some of you might say, well if they charge so high a price that would mean that the coffee must be good and i can assure you, that is NOT the case. It tasted like pure sugar water with a bit of coffee smell. Minutes later, comes my sister’s Nissin Noodle
Looks fine right? This bowl of crap costs RM6.90 while OldTown only charge RM5.90 with more side dishes and appearance wise it looks like it can’t go wrong but i can tell you one thing, this place can screw up even the most simplest of things in the entire universe.
Just look at the noodles, they didn’t even bother trying to separate them. They just wait for the water to boil and then throw the whole noodle bar into the water, take it out 5minutes later and serve! Ok, i can still leave with that but there’s one thing that i cannot understand why and how can they do it. The noodle turns out like shi- have you ever tried cooking instant noodles using microwave oven? That is how it tasted like, it’s part soggy and part crispy. There’s no word that i can use to describe its horrifying quality of food, if one could go wrong in cooking instant noodles, there’s only one thing that person can do…. SUICIDE and that also we hope that he can do it right.
The reason why we visited that place once more is because we thought that the previous owner has run into liquidation and it now being bought over by a new owner meaning new administration but we were so wrong. We have been hoping that this place would close down in matter of months and has been proclaiming that as many times as we passed by this abomination.
Conclusion
Nothing has changed since the first time i’ve been here, the food sucks and overpriced. If i am a reader I wouldn’t even want to walk into the shop just to try if what i said here is true. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS and join me in a movement hoping that this place would close down soon enough because this place belongs in Bukit Bintang, not Bukit Tinggi.
GTFO PAPPA KOPITIAM~!!!!

Then i will tell you, you are definitely wrong! Pappa kopitiam is becoming more popular and many teenagers and as you mentioned, those executive level’s peoples are visiting this kopitiam. They had expanded their business since the 1st shop in Klang. Now, there are five Pappa Kopitiam around Klang Valley. The foods, to many people, are delicious. Especially the teh tarik and the Pappa Toast…Although it’s a bit pricey, but since they are preparing good food, then i will just pay for it. Haha! If you are looking for cheap and nice foods, not in Bukit Tinggi, cz many “expensive” restaurants are here. maybe u can choose some other places lah!
“The foods, to many people, are delicious. Especially the teh tarik and the Pappa Toast…”
- back me up with evidence otherwise it’s just your opinion
“Haha! If you are looking for cheap and nice foods, not in Bukit Tinggi, cz many “expensive” restaurants are here. maybe u can choose some other places lah!”
- WRONG, Pak Li is one example of cheap and nice food
Conclusion
Do your research before shooting out pointless opinions and besides, i’m not asking for any =)
have a nice day.
