DiGi’s Happy
[UPDATE! : Got screwed over with the new rates, check them out HERE. Not so happy anymore]
If you have been paying attention to electronic billboards around town and of course the advertisements on your MSN chatboxes, you would’ve notice that there’s this thing called ‘Happy’ floating around with the fancy tagline RM.0.99 cents for unlimited hour calls or some shi- alike. Well, i can tell you it’s another prepaid project from DiGi the second largest mobile telecommunication provider in Malaysia and is doing really well compared to Maxis. I would really like to spent a lot of time commenting on how retarded Maxis is but i can’t afford to waste so much time here. Let’s just go straight to the point. As of late i have been using my cellphone like nobody business, at least an hour before bedtime and with the current prevailing rates from Maxis (Yes, i’m using Maxis 012) it’s RM0.15cents per minute and i did the maths although i hate it but that’s life :-
RM0.15 per minute
One Hour = 60minute
0.15 x 60 = 9.00
So you see, i spent at least RM9.00 every single night and RM9.00 is also IF i stopped at exactly 60minutes which is rarely the case. Sometimes it will go to an hour and a half which the bills will add up to a staggering amount of RM14.00++ which doesn’t look like a problem but WAIT, there’s 30 days in a month :-
One Day = RM9.00
One Month = 30 days
9.00 x 30 = 270.00
One month and it will be RM270.00 and if you are an avid “sms-er” you can at least make 2000 smses in a month and every sms costs RM0.05 cents and so you’ll roughly get around another RM100.00 added into your bills but that’s besides the point because we’re not here to discuss about sms rates.
DiGi’s new prepaid project use the unlimited hour calls for only RM0.99cents as a selling point which to me is really attractive and i am sure as well for people who uses their cellphone almost every single day. I found out about this prepaid when i was waiting for the traffic light to turn green and it came on the electronic billboard nearby AEON Bukit Tinggi and so i went back and googled for the website and it led me here —> Happy this is the official site for this prepaid that DiGi sets up, you’ll find everything you needed to know about this prepaid because i did even including how and where you can purchase this starter pack and most importantly, the price. For a limited time only, they are going to deliver for FREE the Sim cards right to your doorstep if you order online right now through that given site. The price for the starter pack is RM25.00 which will gives you RM22.00 in credit that you can use, what happens to the Rm3.00? I don’t know, maybe it is the charge for the Sim Card. I ordered mine using my VISA on the 27th and it arrives on the 29th.

Hotlink’s Plan : 0.05cents per minute
My first time using a prepaid line so i don’t really know whether it is a norm for the line provider to send you a message letting you know how much your last call costs because Happy does. I am actually now switching back and forth between my Maxis postpaid and that Happy prepaid because my postpaid is 5cents cheaper in smses but way expensive on my calls. Overall, a good way to save money if you’re an avid talker. I’ll definitely recommend this to people.
