You Don’t Mess With The Zohan
Genre : Action | Comedy
Plot : A very random movie that will make you got “-.-” and “XD” most of the time.
Adam Sandler has seldom fail me in terms of comedy movies but i have to say, Zohan disappoints me a little bit but nevertheless it still made me laughed. I wouldn’t say this movie is good but it’s less than what expected it to be. I was hoping that Zohan would be like some of his previous movies with those signature angry expression jokes but Zohan reminds me more of those Scary Movie series with a lot of random lame jokes inserted between scenes in fact it is very similar. Read on.
Adam Sandler plays Zohan, an Israeli invincible soldier who doesn’t seem to have any weakness and he possesses super human strength and abilities, he can catch and dodge bullets pretty much the things that you see in the recently released Hancock by Will Smith. We all know that every Scary Movie takes a movie and make it as their main theme and so IMO, Zohan took Hancock and made it their main theme but i wouldn’t say that Zohan is 100% similar to the Scary Movie series because of the lack of making fun of other popular movies. However, Zohan is wired with racist jokes and obscenities. The whole movie started because Adam Sandler who was often being call for duty to release the Israel military from dangerous mission suddenly got tired of fighting anymore because his dream was to “cut and style hair” but never got the chance to do it because his parents thinks that it’s a job for faggots =O they even make fun of him over the dinner table.
Determined, Zohan fake his death over a super lamified fight with Phantom aka Fatoush and left Israel for the United States to pursue his dreams in the Paul Mitchell saloon. Failing to secure a job he went to a Middle Eastern community and found his first job as a cleaner with no pay and slowly creeps his way into the hair styling business but Zohan doesn’t only cuts hair, he provides ’special’ services too. He had sex with every customer of his as a token of gratitude for letting them cut their hair and apparently this is how he thank people =O when he first arrive in the States and he got no place to stay, he met a random bloke on the street who took him home and offered him food to eat and even place to sleep and the next thing we know, he was “doggy-styling” his mom in the bedroom.
There isn’t much to talk about this movie because it’s a very random show and if i were to talk about everything, i will only be able to finish it in 5 days time. There are alot of small things that will make you laugh out loud and those you have to see it for yourself. I personally quite like this movie because it’s really random and it’s filled with racist jokes but i wouldn’t really recommend this to anyone who is sensitive towards racial issues and don’t go watch with your parents, it isn’t really something that you’d want to tempt fate with and if you think you’re lame, please by all means go watch it. The key to enjoy this movie is to not pay attention to the big picture but to focus on those small details around them, you’ll be surprised that you’ll still be laughing after you exited the cinema despite how lame that show is.
My rating 4.5/5
