Stardust

Genre : Adventure / Fantasy / Romance
Plot : Based on a novel by Neil Gaiman

This is purely your conventional “happily ever after” story line movie. Story beings when the aging and dying King of Stormhold who was very sarcastically humorous i must say because he laughed after watching one of his 7 sons pushed the other down a tower o_O! The King bears a necklace with an egg-sized ruby attached to it and upon taking it off from the current King, the necklace will magically flew to anywhere possible in the world and whoever finds it will be crown the new King of Stormhold. This movie can generally be separated into 2 where one tells the story of how the remaining 4 princes tries various methods to kill one another to eliminate competition (which was very entertaining) and another tells about the journey of a young boy who seeks to find a fallen star in order to have the hand of the girl of his dream in marriage. The only villain in this movie is the Witch who is also seeking for the fallen star because by consuming it, they will have eternal beauty and you have no idea how ugly they looked like.

The fallen star is portrayed as a beautiful girl and possesses all the characteristics of a star, obviously. She sleeps at day and glows at night whenever she is close to someone she likes or loves. She picked up the Stormhold’s necklace and wore it because she was knocked down from the skies of it not knowing the significance of that necklace and ever since then, she became the hunted from both the Witch and the Princes. Everything is very straight forward in this movie and is very entertaining, plenty of laughing scenes =D The good thing about this movie is that you won’t get mad when the villain controlled the situation albeit temporarily only.
