James Bond : Quantum of Solace

Quantum of Solace, 2008
Before Daniel Craig became the new James Bond, i have never watch a James Bond film in full length from the starting to the ending even if it was showing on HBO or Starworld. Before Daniel Craig took over the franchise, everyone was having doubts about him because he told the press that he didn’t like guns and moreover many said that he doesn’t have the charm like all the previous Bonds had but i must say, he does have a provocative charm =) and it appeals to me =D HAHAHA and no, i’m not gay XD
I was actually having second thoughts when i was watching Casino Royale as i expected some awkward weird moments in the movie but to my utter suprise, Daniel Craig’s performance was amazing, near excellent. I was instantly hooked on and told myself that i will definitely watch the 2nd installment when it comes out and i did =) However, Quantum of Solace isn’t as good as Casino Royale.
Quantum of Solace continues from Casino Royale and James Bond is seeking revenge on the person who caused Vesper’s death and at the same time, uncovering a major crime syndicate whereby a gang of cloaked entreprenuers artificially created drought and by witholding a huge water reservoir hidden underground, they plan to sell it to the government at whichever price they asked for. The storyline in Quantum of Solace isn’t constructed as beautifully as Casino Royale. Quantum of Solace has a very heavy emphasis on having things around James Bond blowing up to smithereens and things breaking. In short, everything that James Bond touches will receive maximum impact of destruction -.- this pretty much repeats itself from the starting to the ending so it gets kinda boring after sometime. There’s nothing much to look in the storyline as it is very typical.
The reason why i watch James Bond when Daniel Craig took over the franchise is because i noticed that there’s a significant change in the James Bond character, he is now more susceptible to injuries, harm and it’s actually fun to see him get hurt XD. He is also no longer Mr. Perfect, completing every stunt with precision. The now James Bond is more realistic.
In conclusion, Quantum of Solace is a decent movie to watch but don’t equate it to be as good as Casino Royale.
