Happy Tree Friends
I was made know to this animation flick on few years back, Christmas morning and it was showing on Cartoon Network. Yes, the big C.N. and i can never believe that CN actually shows cartoon like this. Perhaps this is the first cartoon of its kind, you can laugh and feel gross at the same time. It’s not one of those high cost 3D cartoons or heroes with fancy gadgets, just few animal kingdom friends doing human things. For instance, selling lemonades :-
Some people find it sick but some find it interesting. To me, i find it disgusting at times but somehow i’m attracted to watch more. This is one of the many series that are free to watch over the net, you can either go to youtube.com or their official website HappyTreeFriends.com and stream online. I am not a sick person who loves to see people getting sliced into pieces because i hate movies like this (justified with me hating Aliens vs Predator 2) but this animation is just different, i would describe this as grossly humorous. The creators of this animation is projecting all the fears that the human body shivers every time the brain thinks about it, it’s challenging the human mind to go beyond what i like to call the limit-break.
I know of the existence of it since long ago but i don’t know why i just somehow forgot about it over the stretch of maybe 2 years or maybe 3. Please don’t equate me with Afghans that slits people’s throat and then separates their neck from the head, mutilation acts and all sorts of nonsense. I am nowhere near that but i guess there’s this little violence preferences in all of us that still prefers to see blood and that is only natural. Self control is a must otherwise we will end up like serial murderers on the lose that derives fun from watching people die which is pure sickness.
