An Interesting Christmas

First and foremost, I would like to wish everyone who visited this blog a belated Happy Merry Christmas! The reason why i didn’t blog on the Eve or on Christmas itself because i have been very busy myself attending to my personal matters. Let’s just say someone doesn’t want me to go through Christmas well and alive, here’s my story. It was Christmas Eve morning and i am supposed to fetch my girlfriend from Cheras to have dinner with my family which i did but when i was half way through the highway, Archangel started to play rodeo with me, losing power, switching gears at the wrong rpm and the radiator fan started shutting down as well but i ignored it and thought to myself ‘it should be ok‘ because it wasn’t that serious YET! So i continue dragging Archangel to my destination and got my subject and then i proceed with the second half of my journey. NOW this is where the adventure beings -.-

All the way from Cheras, Archangel condition worsen and when i say worsen it means BAD! Archangel won’t upshifts nor downshifts which resulted me running on 80kmph ONLY when my rpm is already at what, 5000? I was literally flooring the accelerator with the hopes it will respond to me but no, i was turning a SUV into a racing car =/ i am stuck at the highest gear most of the time and as if that’s not fun enough, there was a massive traffic congestion queuing all the way from after the first Cheras toll leading to the exit near Midvalley and with our basics in our head we all know what happens if you are trying to move a car from 0kmph while you are on 4th gear =D the rate which we are “accelerating” on was superb or should i say the “crawling” was superb XD In addition that, every time when Archangel comes to a halt you can feel it jerking forward furiously as if wanting to have a piece of every car’s rear end that he sees and i am no kidding, the motion reminds me of Gran Theft Auto but at the very least, we managed to reached home in one piece. Send to the workshop moments later only to find that the illegal immigrants who washed my car flooded the spark plugs area with water -.-

Parked Archangel at home and then drove Sonata out to buy the ingredients to make that fudgy brownies which i have promised someone really important and also to see whether i could achieve the texture that i am trying to get since Archangel is dead on arrival. It was a pleasant drive to the bakery supply shop but not so when we’re exiting that place. Here’s why!

That AEON Jusco was the Bukit Tinggi one. So as you can see, i was driving out from the small lane to the main road. As usual, every children who drives their parents cars will be extremely cautious and careful and i am no different. I did everything that’s necessary including signals and stuffs and i am freaking sure he was MILES away but just seconds after i successfully exited to the main road, i believe that he purposely accelerate for reasons only made known to his jackass self. He gave me the variation of “The Finger” and of course i was pissed but i raised my hand to show that i am sorry, never hurts to say i am sorry but this jackass cannot comprehend sign language and eventually came to my left side and then fingered me THEN crashed into my front left (1) and the impact was SO strong my car actually went up the divider >=( I got so pissed i went over to HIS left this time and asked him to stop! Here comes the interesting part, not only he didn’t stop he came crashing into my car (2) ONCE AGAIN! i mean GAWD, what the *tuut* is wrong with you!!!

My car skidded into his lane and because Sonata has quite a long front, it blocked his path. He got no choice but to stop his car as well because i stopped too, he got down and then came really near to my window and gave me fists gestures and then yelled asking me to go down very clearly indicating to me i can become Ryu while he can become Zangief. I really want to go down and test whether his skull or my steering lock is the better steel but my girlfriend was in the car asking me not to and i didn’t want to do anything stupid to which i could put her life in danger so at the end i remained in the car and just drove away. I went home straight and feeling extremely bad NOT because i crashed that car but because i ruined someone else’s supposed to be a jolly good Christmas. I’m sorry Yee Leng =(

Christmas 2007 @ IPPK

Went and made a report to the police station and they already put him in the list together with the wanted criminals and because they can’t find his car yet (probably send to the workshop for repair works because he has his front bumper all came off XD while mine only suffered from serious dents) but it is almost sure that they will charge him for damage to property as well as any possible charges for threatening to kill. The latter one will attract jail sentencing =) which is the one that i am really looking forward to because i can’t wait to finger him while visiting him in jail :mwahaha: ASS! The police are suspecting that he is one of those gang members that snatches cars but they can’t conclude anything yet until they caught that ass. This is the first Christmas that i am actually spending it with someone i love and i never expected it to be in the police station :rofl: at least we will remember this for the rest of our lives. So much for having a dramatic girlfriend XD Wishing each other Merry Christmas in police station is really something, you guys should try it if you have the chance.

Although so many things happened to us on Christmas but we nevertheless had a happy time together with my family. My parents got me a Renoma wallet after seeing how rotten my current wallet is AND they got Yee Leng a white gold necklace >=( they didn’t even got me any accessories before @#$%^ which resulted in her showing off to me -.- and also they almost bought a Christmas hamper for her to take home but luckily they realized in time that it was way too old fashioned, they bought a Christmas cake instead XD

Yes, I came up with one doujinshi this year, and I am going to start work for the next year’s book.

Kay, i shall make things straight to the point.
I would like to invite some talented artists from this forum to submit your arts in this book! What can I offer to you? You would say nothing materialistic can be provided from my part as a consideration, however, if you look at if from a positive point of view, you are building up your art skills rather than just 24/7 digging into those thick law books which I don’t.

This year is my first time coming up with this doujinshi. Yup, noob doujinshi which still have plenty of rooms to improve as well. So, why not improve your artistic skills with FreeDom?
I am pretty impressed with the sales overall. And I got pretty good feedback from people.

Side note::
Freedom is used as our doujin’s name not because it is anything related to Gundam Series. =/ It is actually trying to tell people that this doujin gives the freedom to the artists to express their feelings and all.

- best in 2480 x 3508 pixels (width x height) — this is actually A4 size in Photoshop.
- Resolution :: 300 pixels
- Acceptable in either Traditional Media (inks,pens, etc) or Digital Media (Photoshop, OC, Painter, etc)
- Black and White only. (Coloured drawing converted to grey scale in Photoshop is highly not recommended)
- With or without background is up to you. As I said, it is your freedom to draw anything.
- It is highly recommended that you put a link to your site on your art so that you would be able to ‘promote’ yourself to the buyers at the end of the day. Most importantly, remember to sign your art. =D! And it would be best if you name your art as well.
- You can draw anything you love. Yes ANYTHING, except for hentai and racist-related drawings. Girls in too revealing dresses are not advisable but still acceptable to certain extend.
- Please note that due to certain factors, I have the right to turn down your art if I found your art offensive. That would be the last resort of course.

And, naturally, FREEdom 2008 will be released in Comic Fiesta 2008 as well, yesha, I will again hopefully open a booth in CF next year. I just hope the location would be somewhere like this year – Time Square, 6th floor.

Fudgy Chocolate Cake Brownies

Ever since i tasted Secret Recipe’s American Brownies with Ice Cream, i vowed to myself and my girlfriend that i will learn how to make them and tonight i am trying to live up to that promise. I bought the ingredients some time ago but just never did found the time until tonight, obviously my sister and i were not satisfied with what we had for dinner so we agreed to go and get ourselves some Ramly Burger on our way back but because dad has an appointment so we ended up home first. My sister told me she’s full already and i am just too lazy to drive out on a rainy night to buy 1 burger so i thought to myself, “let’s make that brownies that is long overdue tonight” and i did partly because i know the procedure is very simple and won’t take more than an hour to complete. It’s recipe i found on the intarweb and here goes :-

Ingredients
120 grams semisweet chocolate chips
4 tablespoon of milk
2 tablespoons heavy cream
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
80 grams sugar
80 grams plus 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
Pinch of salt
1 large egg
1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

The methods are simple and idiot proof so unless you are a complete jackass, this shouldn’t be any problem for you. Find a medium size pot, pour in the milk, heavy cream AND the chocolate chip together. Stir them over low fire, remember it’s LOW FIRE. Don’t get all smart and do otherwise if not you’ll end up carving the chocolate of the sides of the pot. Just continue stirring until everything sinks in and make sure the chocolate chips are fully melted because they have the tendency of sticking onto each other and form chucks under heat. Don’t come bitching at me when you have a chocolate figuring of Grimer.

Chocolate Fondue, Yes!

After that, add in the butter and stir well until it sinks in too. Add in the sugar after that. Stir until everything becomes a thick chocolate syrup and when it does, turn off the gas and let it cool down. NOW! on the other bowl, sieve the flour and the baking soda and of course along together with that pinch of salt. Pour in that chocolate mixture into the bowl of flour after having it cool down considerably, start stirring non stop but don’t stir as if you’re betting your life on it.

Just a gentle stirring at the SAME direction until the flour disappears into the thick chocolate mixture. Next, crack the egg and pour in the vanilla essence and again stir like hell.
WORD OF CAUTION : Vanilla Essence is just to cover the raw smell of the flour and egg. I recommend you to lessen it.

Basically after mixing everything together, you’re pretty much done. Pour the whole mixture into a tray, a narrow but thick tray because brownies are supposed to be thick like cakes.

This is how it looks like before it goes into the oven for baking under 275 degree Celsius for approximately 30minutes or you can try poking it with a toothpick and if it comes out clean means it’s done, whichever comes first. My end product looks like this:-

Though it looks sad because the surface is burnt, my bad for not paying much attention on it during baking but it’s really on the surface only and it’s not really burnt per se. The content of chocolates in it makes it look darker than usual so yeah!

Maybe i was expecting way too much from my first time baking it and i actually wanted it to turn out like the ones my girlfriend and i had in Secret Recipe which in reality it didn’t, it’s not as sticky as it should be and i am sure that i followed the recipe precisely but still it tasted good. Of course i will try messing with the ingredients to achieve the texture that i am looking for. For better or worst at the very least i can now add one more item into my “Can Bake” list =D
